A local driver was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash on County Road 39 south of Belle Center Friday afternoon around 4:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Matthew Driscol, 47, of Belle Center, was driving a 1998 GMC Jimmy northbound on 39 north of Township Road 51 when he lost control. He went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and drove off the left side of the road. His SUV struck the ditch and rolled several times.
Driscol was ejected.
The Richland Township Fire Department and BMRT Squad responded.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS provided a medic and met BMRT en route to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Driscol was pronounced dead at the hospital.
He was the lone occupant.
His vehicle had heavy damage.
It's the fourth fatal accident in Logan County this year.
Deputies continue their investigation.
